From 1940's biplanes to 21st Century microlights, the club caters for all types of recreational pilots, their partners and friends. Biplanes, monoplanes, autogyros, helicopters, flexwing and 3-axis microlights are all flown by club members who range from ex-professional pilots to students with 5 hours under their belts. The club has links to four flying schools; one helicopter, one flexwing and two fixed wing microlight schools, all operating from Damyns Hall. The instructors are all members so there is usually someone to talk to if you have a question about flying. There is not a clubhouse as such, but the Aviator Cafe, open 7 days a week, and serving hot food and drinks Tuesday - Sunday, is where we all meet when we are not flying or tinkering with airplanes. Some club members own their own aircraft, some share a group-owned aircraft and others hire aircraft when needed. So if you are interested in flying, want to learn to fly or just like being around airplanes come and see what Damyns Hall can offer.
